Fall League 2011

The ratings session will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Dupont Country Club from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Please note that this time is a different time from previously sent out. The rain date is Sunday, August 7th, at the same place and same time.

The league will start on Sunday, September 11th and will run for 6 weeks. It will probably be held at Archmere and Bellevue but these sites have to be finally confirmed.

Players between the ages of 10 and 18 years old are asked to participate in this important Ratings Session. Based on each player’s evaluation, (s)he will be selected to join a competitive team in one of our divisions. Only intermediate and higher players are eligible to participate in the League. Please note this is not a league for beginners so not every player is guaranteed a place on a team.

Basic Facts About the League
Delaware Junior Team Tennis (DJTT) provides a competitively matched six-week session, with team shirts and an end-of-season party, where trophies are presented to each player. Our active website provides on-line communication, scores and standings for all League participants. For general information and news, please visit http://www.delawarejuniorteamtennis.net/fall or http://www.djtta.org/fall.

Family volunteers run DJTT, and we need parents to help. By joining DJTT, parents agree to support our organization in one of several ways:
  • Attend as many events as possible: Ratings Session, games, practices, end-of-season party, etc.
  • Attendance at key meetings, including the annual meeting in March.
  • Service: Each parent is required to give a minimum of 4 to 6 hours of time to the League. Each week we need a scorekeeper, League Official, as well as help with set-up and tear-down. We also need coaches, assistant coaches and practice coordinators to help with player activities
  • We hope you will also consider serving as a League Committee member
